ሽምኪ ጸዊዔ መዓስ ሓፊረ

ማርያም ኢለ አበይ ወዲቐ

ሽምኪ እዩ’ሞ ስንቂ ኮይኑኒ

እነሆ ምስጋና ተቐበልኒ

ጸላኢ መጺኡ ክቃወመኒ

ንብዙሕ ዘመን ከሸግረኒ

ሰይጣን ማሪኹ ከሳቕየኒ

ወላዲት ኣምላኽ ኣደ’ላትኒ

ሽምኪ ጸዊዔ……..

ናይ ለውሃት አደ ናይ ፍቕሪ አርአያ

ናይ ድኹም ዘራይ ድንግል ንሳ’ያ

ኃጥእ’ኻ ኢላ አይትንዕቀኒን

ነዓአ ሒዘስ ገለ አይከውንን

ሽምኪ ጸዊዔ……..

መርዓ ምስ ኮነ ሰብ ምስ መልአ

ዝቅረብ ሽሻይ ምስ ተወድአ

እንታይ ክቕርብ ኢሉ ክሽገር

ነዓኺ ሒዙ ግን አይሓፈረን 

ጎይታ ሰሚዑ ንልማኖኺ

ባህ እንዳ በሎ ቲ’ርህራሄኺ

ነቲ ጽሩይ ማይ ብተኣምራት

ወይኒ ገበሮ ብከሓልነት

ሽምኪ ጸዊዔ……..

በዓልቲ ግርማ ድንግል’ኣደ ጎይታ

ምኽንያት ምድሓን ናይ አዳም ተስፋ

ሽምኪ ክጽውዕ ግዜ ሓዘነይ

ናባይ ቅረቢ እምባ ጽዮን ጸግዐይ

መታን ከይጠፍእ ዘኽታም ከይከውን

እግዚአብሔር ስቅ ኣይበለንን

ኣምላኽ ይመስገን ዕድል አሎኒ

ወላዲት ኣምላኽ ኣደ አላትኒ

ሽምኪ ጸዊዔ……..

Translation

I called your name never shy saying Maryam, I never fall. It is your name that has been my habit to say, here it is, accept my thanks

The enemy comes against me, for many years to cause me trouble, satan tries to cause despair, I have the mother of my God

Mother of calm & love, the virgin is with me. She doesn’t undermine me because of my transgressions, with Her on my side I will always be safe

When there is a Wedding, when it is full of people, when everything is finished, saying “what shall I offer” he did not shy, 

The Lord heard your pleading, with pleasure He heard your joy. To the pure water with mystery He changed to wine

Of Wonder the Virgin mother of God, cause of salvation hope of Adam, To call your name in the time of mourning, come to me Mt. Zion to lean on
